IR35, Are you Ready?

Umbrella companies have ready made solutions for private contractors to move away from PSC’s having set them up for the public sector. But, they are still not as efficient as PSC’s. So, someone’s got to take a hit, the contract, the client or the agency. Will it hit your margins or contractor numbers?

Or is the solution moving towards a Statement of Works model? If so, will your desk/ employer have the relationship with the client to move them on to SOW? Those businesses who do successfully move their clients on to an SOW methodology would stand to gain from the regulation changes, by moving to a closer working relationship with the client and gaining further exclusivity by insulating the client from the perceived risk.

Whatever your plan is, if you are a professional/ technical recruiter working the London contract market there will be an impact on your desk.
