Is brevity the key to influencing?

Really interesting Ted Talk by Organisational psychologist Niro Sivanathan on how the “dilution effect” can weaken a pitch. With a lot of Recruiters (me very much included) having a proclivity to be verbose, could this have a real application across Recruitment? From pitching a job, to pitching a candidate or developing your employer brand – is brevity the key?
